I feel a mix of excitement and trepidation as I ponder my new year's resolutions while also thinking about a new year of blogs. So with that, I would like to share my thoughts on some well-loved "F-words” that commonly pop up on the resolution list.
As 2018 draws to a close and you look at retirement savings goals for 2019, I want to offer some thoughts on your nest egg beyond just "Save, Save, Save!" into those 401(k) and IRA accounts.
Saving money isn't as fun as spending it. So instead of focusing on how much you need to save, let's frame the retirement savings choice in a different way -- purchasing deeply discounted "retirement dollars" today that you will eventually need to spend in retirement.
