I haven’t been here in a while and for lots of good reasons, at least that’s what I have been telling myself. I’m not a slacker. That would be negative self-talk, and we are not practicing that here. What have I been doing, you ask? I’ve been onboarding a good number of new clients, approaching the high school graduation end zone with my homeschooler, and…
GETTING MY FINAL APPROVAL TO OFFICIALLY BE A CFP® PROFESSIONAL!!!
This is a big. big. deal. Three years in the making. Seven graduate level type classes with culminating exams for each, followed by a national certification exam that makes grown men cry (I’m not exaggerating here). And then, 6000 experience hours. That’s a lot of hours for someone who is always moving and has been more dedicated to family than to a job.
So, here we are, and I want to say thanks…
…to my family who put up with my study plans and testing schedules.
…to my husband who listens to me say, for example, “I love compliance”, and knows it’s a lie and helps me fake it until I make it.
…to the XYPN December 2017 Launch Group who has journeyed with me from just-a-good-idea to being an independent, state-registered financial advisor.
…to the clients who trust me to actually practice financial planning.
I look forward to many more rewarding and exciting years on this career path!
